What is a champagne room?
A champagne room is a private or semi-private room at a strip club where you pay for a fixed block of time with an entertainer, away from the main floor. Clubs also call it a VIP room, private room, private suite or skybox. Time is usually sold in 15, 30 or 60 minute blocks, and some clubs bundle it with a bottle or a drinks credit.
What you’re paying for is private dances and conversation. The room runs on the same house rules as the rest of the club. The Cheetah in Atlanta, which has 14 private VIP rooms, lists “no touching dancers” and no phone cameras among its rules, and those rules apply behind the curtain too.
The name is a leftover. Clubs sold champagne in these rooms, and many still do, but plenty now sell the time on its own.
Champagne room vs VIP section vs private dance
People mix these three up, and clubs price them differently. A private dance is one song. A VIP section is better seating on the main floor. A champagne room is a separate room booked by time.

How much does a champagne room cost?
At US clubs that publish a price, a champagne room sold by time costs $100 to $1,000 for up to an hour. Sold as a package with a drinks credit, it costs $1,350 to $2,000. Here is what each club lists on its own website, checked in September 2026.

Most big clubs don’t publish a room price at all. None of the 12 Atlanta clubs we list does. The Scores Las Vegas blog gives broad industry ranges ($100 to $300 for 15 minutes, $1,000 and up for an hour) rather than its own rate card. If a club won’t put a number on its website, get one out loud before you walk in.
Time blocks or packages: how clubs price the room
Clubs sell champagne rooms in one of two ways, and the headline price means something different in each.
Sold by time
You pay for 15, 30, 45 or 60 minutes. The price normally covers one guest and one entertainer. Deja Vu Lake City says so in writing, and Sonny’s charges more for each extra entertainer. Drinks are separate. Deja Vu Lake City serves no alcohol at all, so there the room is simply time.
Sold as a package
Upscale clubs sell the room as a bundle. Sapphire’s one-hour Skybox in Las Vegas costs $1,500: $500 of that is a wine and champagne credit and $1,000 is an entertainment voucher. Pandora’s South in Fort Worth splits its $1,500 Champagne Room package the same way. Packages usually waive the cover too, and Sapphire’s include a ride from the Strip or Downtown.
Think of a package as a prepaid budget for drinks and entertainment in the room. Anything beyond the voucher is billed on top.
What’s included, and what isn’t
Read the package line by line. These are the items that decide whether the price you see is the price you pay.
- One entertainer is standard. Pandora’s South says multiple entertainers are “subject to entertainer’s approval”, and availability is at the club’s discretion.
- Guest numbers vary. Sonny’s lets up to four guests share its $1,000 Champagne Room, which works out to $250 each if you split it. Sapphire’s Couples Skybox covers two people for $1,350.
- Drinks may or may not be in. Rick’s Fort Worth tells first-timers to ask whether a room includes beverages and, separately, what the entertainer costs.
- Entry is often covered. Sapphire and Pandora’s South packages include no cover, and Tootsie’s Party Room Package includes up to eight free admissions.
- Tax, service charge and gratuity are almost never included. See the next section.
The price on the menu is rarely the final bill
Clubs that publish package terms add a service charge, a gratuity and sales tax at checkout. On a $1,000 package at Sapphire New York, tax and gratuity alone add $288.75.

Deposits carry terms too. Sapphire New York charges a 25% cancellation fee on event deposits, and Tootsie’s takes a 20% deposit when you book a VIP package. Tipping the entertainer is a separate question; strip club etiquette covers who to tip and how much.
Minimums and bottle requirements
Some clubs require a drink or bottle purchase before, or as part of, a room. Bella’s Cabaret has a two-drink minimum for everyone in the club. Package clubs build the bottle into the price: the Sapphire and Pandora’s South rooms come with a $500 champagne credit, and Tootsie’s Party Room comes with a $1,400 spend tab.
VIP sections work on minimums as well. Rick’s Fort Worth says its VIP seating starts at $250 in spend, depending on party size and where you sit. If a host quotes a minimum, ask what counts toward it (drinks only, or dances too) and whether tax and gratuity count.
How booking a champagne room works
At most clubs you can book a room on the night, but busy nights and packages go better with a reservation. Sonny’s in Chandler says reservations are “highly recommended for special events”.
Online booking often comes with conditions. Pandora’s South offers its best champagne room rates only with pre-payment before you arrive, and warns that prices on arrival “are subject to change”. Tootsie’s takes a 20% deposit on its packages, and you pay the rest at the club.

How the time works
The clock is what you’re paying for, so pin it down. A 30-minute room is 30 minutes of room time, and you should know exactly when it starts: when you sit down, when the entertainer arrives or when you pay.
Ask what happens when the time runs out. Will someone tell you? Does staying on start a new block at the full price? One sentence before you go in settles it: “So that’s 30 minutes for $330, and you’ll let me know when it’s up?”
How to avoid a surprise bill
Get the full total, in dollars, before you go into the room. Then check the bill before you sign it.
- Ask how long the block is and when it starts.
- Ask how many entertainers and how many guests the price covers.
- Ask if a bottle or drink minimum comes with it.
- Ask whether tax, service charge and gratuity are included, and at what rates.
- Ask how you’re paying, and whether a card adds a fee.
- Read anything you’re asked to sign, and keep a photo of the total.
- Check your card statement the next day.
The paperwork matters. In 2024, nearly 20 men sued Bones Cabaret and Skin Cabaret in Scottsdale and Dream Palace in Tempe, alleging more than $1.1 million in unauthorized VIP room charges. According to FOX 10 Phoenix, the room process there involved agreeing a price with a hostess, signing a contract, and handing over a card, ID, thumbprint and photo. The clubs’ attorney called the cases baseless. They are allegations, but they show how binding a room contract can be, and why you want a clear head when you sign one.
Rules inside the room
The room follows the club’s house rules. The Cheetah in Atlanta bans touching dancers and any use of phone cameras, including FaceTime, anywhere in the club. Break a rule and staff can end the session and walk you out.
Rooms are also watched. Some clubs have CCTV in their champagne rooms for the entertainers’ safety. Washington state went further with SB 6105: since January 1, 2025, clubs there must have panic buttons in rooms where a dancer is alone with a customer, plus on-site security.
Why rooms differ from state to state
State and local rules shape what a VIP room can look like. In California, a liquor-licensed venue must keep topless performers on a stage at least 18 inches high and six feet from the nearest patron (Cal. Code Regs. tit. 4, § 143.3), which limits private-room formats at clubs that serve alcohol. Washington’s panic-button rule applies to private rooms statewide.

Las Vegas

Is a champagne room worth it?
That depends on what you want from the night. If you’d like 30 minutes with one entertainer away from the stage noise, a room at a club that publishes its price, such as Oz at $200 or Deja Vu Las Vegas at $330, is easy to budget for. A $1,500 package makes more sense for a celebration where the drinks and the ride are part of the plan.
Where it goes wrong is the unplanned room: no price agreed, no end time, card already handed over. Agree the total first and the room is one more line on a bill you expected.
