Atlanta's clubs are part of the city's culture in a way few others are. Magic City has been tied to Atlanta hip-hop since the 1980s, and the Clermont Lounge has been running in a hotel basement on Ponce de Leon since 1965. Each pick was checked against the club's own website and at least one independent source and comes with the reason it made the list. The table below compares what each club publishes about prices and hours.

South Downtown, near Underground Atlanta
Atlanta's most famous club, open since 1985, and one of the few that publishes its prices: $10 day-shift admission and $10 table dances. It has a full bar and its own kitchen, known for its wings. Closed Sundays.
Midtown, corner of 8th Street and Spring Street
A Midtown club, open since 1977, with its own restaurant (Alluvia), three bars and 14 private VIP rooms. Cover is published: $12 before 9pm on weekdays and $23 from 9pm. Valet parking.

The Clermont calls itself Atlanta's oldest strip club: it opened in the basement of the Hotel Clermont in 1965. It is a dive-bar experience rather than a polished club, with karaoke on Tuesdays and DJs on Saturdays.

A rock-themed club on Piedmont Road, established in 1976, with no cover before 2pm and a free shuttle for groups of up to five within 15 miles.
Clarkston, DeKalb County
Open seven days, and until 4am Monday to Friday. Entry is free until 7pm, with a published $5 to $20 cover after that. It is in Clarkston, east of the city.

In much of the US, a club can offer full nudity or serve alcohol but not both, which is why so many full-nude clubs elsewhere are alcohol-free and admit 18-year-olds (how strip clubs work). Inside the City of Atlanta, Magic City, the Cheetah and Blue Flame all state on their own websites that they are fully nude and serve a full bar, and so does Strokers in Clarkston. Those clubs publish a 21+ entry age.
The suburbs are different. Several metro governments restrict nude dancing where alcohol is sold, modelling their rules on DeKalb and Fulton counties, Sandy Springs, Johns Creek and Doraville (Rough Draft Atlanta, 2013). Brookhaven's ordinance bars sexually oriented businesses from selling alcohol and requires dancers not to fully undress (AJC), which is why the Pink Pony's rules have changed over the years. Check a suburban club's own policy before you go.
Most Atlanta clubs publish a 3am close. The Cheetah closes at 2:45am and the Pink Pony at 2am, while Strokers stays open until 4am on weeknights and XTC never closes. Several clubs open in the early afternoon, and the cheapest time to visit is usually the day shift: Magic City's $10 admission applies from 3pm to 9pm, Strokers is free until 7pm and Tattletale has no cover before 2pm. Magic City was founded in 1985 by Michael "Mr. Magic" Barney. It became known as a place where rappers and DJs tested new records, which is the subject of the Starz docuseries *Magic City: An American Fantasy*, executive-produced by Jermaine Dupri and premiered in August 2025 (NBC News). Several other Atlanta clubs, including Blue Flame, also have a hip-hop crowd.

It depends on the club and the time. Among published prices, Strokers is free until 7pm, Tattletale has no cover before 2pm, Magic City charges $10 on the day shift and the Cheetah charges $12 before 9pm on weekdays and $23 after.
The lowest published price we found is $5 at Blue Flame Lounge. Magic City publishes $10 per song. Most other clubs don't publish dance prices, so ask before you agree to one.
